Evaluation Information In order to assess the quality of the curriculum at UCLA, students are required to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of clerkship rotations, sites, faculty teaching. This information is used by clerkship & site directors and the Medical Education Committee to plan future curriculum. Your feedback is considered very important by these groups. Using the online evaluation system, student comments and responses are anonymous and secure. Two database files record scores so that student names are tracked on one database and responses on another. Also, information is not given out until clerkship evaluations of students are received in Student Affairs.
Clerkship evaluations consist of the following components. All evaluations are required. If a link appears in your survey list, you are required to complete that evaluation or notify the evaluation office if you feel it is an error.
Compliance Completion of evaluations is required to receive a grade in each clerkship, and failure to complete them in a timely manner is considered a reflection of the student’s professionalism. Failure to complete evaluations by the deadline will result in the evaluation office being required to submit a physicianship professionalism form for Student Affairs. We do not ever like to submit these forms, please contact the evaluation office promptly if you are having difficulty meeting the evaluation requirement.
